Ashtanga Collective offers traditional Ashtanga classes as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Richard Freeman, and Mary Taylor. Mysore is the traditional method in which Ashtanga Yoga is taught and practiced. Students progressively move through the Ashtanga series in a group setting at an individual pace, to the rhythm of their own breath, under the guidance of a teacher. It is a self-led practice - the series is memorized and taught piece by piece over time and students can come for any duration they choose within the class hours. There is not a group start time/end time nor vocally led teacher instruction. Teacher guidance begins at 7am; doors will be open at 5:30am for those who wish to come early.
